Calum Worthy began his professional acting career at the age of nine, making his film debut in the BBC award-winning mini-series “I Was A Rat.” Born on January 28, 1991, in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, Worthy quickly established himself in the entertainment industry. His early roles included a guest appearance in Fox’s “Night Visions” (2001), directed by Bill Pullman. Over the years, Worthy has accumulated extensive experience, participating in more than 50 film and television projects across Canada, the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Singapore.
Worthy gained significant recognition for his portrayal of Dez Wade in the Disney Channel series “Austin & Ally,” a role he held from 2011 to 2016. During this period, he also contributed as a writer for one episode of the series. Beyond Disney, his notable roles include Alex Trimboli in the Netflix series “American Vandal” (2017), Nicholas Godejohn in Hulu’s “The Act” (2019), and Adam in Eminem’s film “Bodied” (2017). His recent work includes Zack Jackson in the TV series “Reboot” (2022) and Young Jasper Queller in the Netflix mini-series “Pieces of Her” (2022).
In addition to his acting, Worthy has broadened his career into production and writing. He co-created, wrote, and executive produced “The Coppertop Flop Show,” a sketch comedy series that aired on Disney Channel from 2013 to 2014. He also served as a consulting producer for “Disney FHO – Friends Hanging Out” (2015-2016). More recently, Worthy co-founded 2wai, an AI start-up focused on interactive avatar-based social platforms.
