Alex Vincent

Alex Vincent was born on April 29, 1981, in Newark, New Jersey, and was raised in Maywood, New Jersey. His acting career began at the age of five after being inspired by a neighbor who appeared on television. He secured roles in television commercials before auditioning for ‘Child’s Play’ in 1987. Vincent competed against many other children for the part of Andy Barclay, ultimately landing the role and making his film debut in ‘Child’s Play’ (1988) at the age of six. He reprised his role as Andy Barclay in ‘Child’s Play 2’ (1990), a role that required long filming days and demanding action sequences for a young actor.

After his initial success as a child actor, Vincent took a break from acting during his high school years, graduating from Hackensack High School in 1999. He later decided to restart his acting career and also pursued other aspects of film production. Vincent attended Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. He owns and operates A/V Productions Recording Studio and Production Company, based in Clearwater, Florida, demonstrating his involvement in sound engineering and production beyond acting. His work in the sound department includes roles such as sound designer, sound mixer, and sound editor for various projects.

Vincent returned to the ‘Child’s Play’ franchise in later years, appearing in a post-credits scene for ‘Curse of Chucky’ (2013) and then with a more significant role in ‘Cult of Chucky’ (2017). His continued involvement with the franchise culminated in a recurring role as Andy Barclay in the ‘Chucky’ television series, which aired from 2021 to 2024. Throughout his career, Vincent has maintained a connection with the horror genre, attending events and engaging with fans who remember him from his iconic childhood role.
