Alfonso Ribeiro

Alfonso Ribeiro has built a diverse career transcending his acting roots, becoming a sought-after television host, director, and personality. After receiving an Outer Critics Circle Award nomination for his starring role in the 1983 Broadway musical The Tap Dance Kid, Alfonso Ribeiro continued to build a multi-faceted career across entertainment. He made his television debut on the PBS show Oye Ollie and in 1984, gained national attention appearing as a dancer alongside Michael Jackson in a prominent Pepsi commercial. The same year, he joined the cast of the television series Silver Spoons as Ricky Schroder’s best friend.

Further diversifying his portfolio, he launched the syndicated radio show The ’90s with Alfonso Ribeiro in 2019, connecting with audiences nationwide. Ribeiro’s involvement with the Dancing with the Stars franchise evolved further, as he joined as co-host for Season 31 in 2022, before taking on the main host position for Season 32 in 2023, partnering with Julianne Hough.
