Alison Wright

Alison Wright, born on July 12, 1976, in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear, England, began her artistic journey through dance and acting at a young age. Raised by her adoptive parents, she later pursued formal training at the esteemed Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and The Barrow Group in New York City. Her early career involved working as a waitress while actively auditioning for roles, demonstrating her commitment to the acting profession. Her on-screen debut occurred in 2007 with the comedy-drama film “The Nanny Diaries.”

Wright garnered widespread critical acclaim for her role as Martha Hanson in the FX period spy drama series “The Americans” from 2013 to 2017. Her portrayal of a lonely FBI secretary manipulated into spying for the Russians earned her a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series in 2017. Following this success, she secured a significant role as Marjorie in the Amazon Prime Video crime drama series “Sneaky Pete” from 2015 to 2019. In film, she appeared as Justine in “The Accountant” (2016) and as Virginia Thomas in the HBO political thriller “Confirmation” (2016).
