About

Amy Yasbeck was born on September 12, 1962, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her early exposure to the public included appearing on the packaging for the Betty Crocker Easy-Bake Oven. After the passing of both her parents in 1983, Yasbeck moved to New York City to pursue an acting career. She gained early experience with guest-starring roles in various television series, showcasing her ability across different genres.

Yasbeck established herself in Hollywood through a series of notable film and television appearances. In 1988, she took on the role of Madison in the television film “Splash, Too.” The 1990s saw her feature in prominent comedic films such as “Pretty Woman” (1990), where she played Elizabeth Stuckey, and as Flo Healy in “Problem Child” (1990) and its sequel “Problem Child 2” (1991). She further expanded her comedic repertoire with roles in Mel Brooks’ “Robin Hood: Men in Tights” (1993) as Maid Marian and in “Dracula: Dead and Loving It” (1995). A significant milestone in her film career was her supporting role as Peggy Brandt in Jim Carrey’s “The Mask” (1994).

Her television career also flourished, most notably with her role as Casey Chappel Davenport on the sitcom “Wings” from 1994 to 1997. Following a hiatus to prioritize her family after the death of her husband, John Ritter, in 2003, Yasbeck gradually returned to acting. She has since made appearances in television series such as “That’s So Raven” (2006), “Hot in Cleveland” (2010), “Modern Family” (2013), and “Pretty Little Liars” (2016). More recently, she was cast in the short film “Fireflies in the Dusk” set for release in 2025.
