Andrew Bynum’s distinguished NBA career began after he was selected as the 10th overall pick by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2005 NBA draft, making him the youngest player ever drafted by an NBA team. He made his NBA debut on November 2, 2005, becoming the youngest player to play in an NBA game. Prior to entering the NBA directly, Bynum was recognized as an All-American player and participated in the 2005 McDonald’s All-American game, showcasing his prodigious talent. During his seven seasons with the Lakers, he quickly developed into a pivotal center, contributing significantly to the team’s victory in the 2009 NBA Championship.

However, persistent knee problems unfortunately led him to miss the entire 2012–13 season. He subsequently signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2013, playing briefly before being traded to the Chicago Bulls, who ultimately waived him.
