Andrew Catalon, born September 7, 1979, in Millburn, New Jersey, cultivated his broadcasting career from an early age. A graduate of Millburn High School in 1997, he pursued higher education at Syracuse University’s S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, earning his degree in 2001. During his time at Syracuse, Catalon honed his skills at WAER-FM, gaining foundational experience in sports broadcasting that would shape his future. His early career included significant roles as sports director at WVNY until September 2003 and later as weekend sports anchor at WNYT starting December of the same year. This period allowed him to develop his reporting and on-air presence within local television markets.
Catalon transitioned to national broadcasting, joining CBS Sports Network full-time in July 2013, following his departure from WNYT. His versatility as a play-by-play announcer has been evidenced across a wide range of sports.
