Andrew Catalon

Andrew Catalon is a well-known American sportscaster, providing play-by-play commentary for major sporting events across various networks. After earning his degree from Syracuse University’s S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in 2001, Andrew Catalon rapidly built his foundational experience in sports broadcasting, transitioning into significant roles at local television markets.

He served as Sports Director at WVNY until September 2003, subsequently joining WNYT as Weekend Sports Anchor in December 2003. During this period, Catalon honed his reporting and on-air presence, laying the groundwork for a distinguished national career. Recognized for his extensive contributions to the field, Catalon was inducted into Syracuse University’s WAER Hall of Fame in 2022, marking a significant milestone in his distinguished career. He remains a key voice in sports, actively providing play-by-play commentary for the NFL on CBS with Tiki Barber and Jason McCourty, and for college basketball telecasts with Steve Lappas.
