The former professional footballer and amateur rapper John Barnes played in the #LADbiblePoker tournament and spread the word about the competition via his Twitter account.
John Barnes promoted LADbible’s branded poker tournament through a post on his Twitter account on September 20th, recording a video that plays on the iconic rap he wrote for New Order’s official England 1990 World Cup song, which reached No 1 in the charts on release. Rewriting the original lyrics to relate to the poker tournament at hand, he rapped: “you’ve got to call or fold, but do it at the right time / you can be slow or fast, but don’t go chasing my nines.” LADbible’s Poker Room tournaments are taking place every Thursday and Sunday at 7pm on partypoker, and players are currently being offered a £40 free play when they sign up and deposit a minimum of £10.
