Christopher Brewer

Christopher Brewer, born in 1993 in San Antonio, Texas, initially distinguished himself in athletics. During his time at Rancho Buena Vista High School, he excelled in track and field, securing eighth place in the 5,000 meters at the 2010 state championship and recording the best 1,600-meter time in California that same year. He continued his athletic pursuits at the University of Oregon, where he was a member of the track and field team, earning an all-Pac 12 honorable mention in 2013 and placing 55th in the Pac-12 8,000-meter championship.

Brewer’s introduction to poker occurred in 2012 during the U.S. Olympic trials. He started his poker career in cash games in the San Diego area, progressively moving to Los Angeles where he regularly participated in high-stakes cash games at the Commerce Casino, eventually playing at $1,000-$2,000 stakes. His first World Series of Poker (WSOP) cash was recorded in 2015. A significant turning point in his career came in 2021 when he won the $50,000 Super High Roller at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open, earning $420,670, which was his largest score at the time. He also secured a victory at the 2021 Poker Masters with a prize of $427,000.

His career progression accelerated with victories in two events on the Triton Series. In February 2023, he won the €50,000 Super High Roller at EPT Paris, marking his first cash exceeding $1,000,000 with winnings of $1,026,000. At the 2023 WSOP, Brewer achieved a significant milestone by winning his first WSOP bracelet and over $5,200,000 in the $250,000 Super High Roller No-Limit Hold’em event. He secured a second bracelet in the $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship in the same year, contributing to his ranking as third in the WSOP Player of the Year standings. As of June 2023, his total live earnings surpass $15,000,000. By September 2021, he had won the Poker Masters $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em event for $427,500 and the Triton Poker Series Madrid €20,000 No-Limit Short Deck event for $387,209.
