Anna Diop

Mame-Anna Diop was born on February 6, 1988, in Dakar, Senegal, and later moved to the United States at the age of six, subsequently relocating to New York at sixteen to pursue acting and modeling. Her television career began in 2006 with a recurring role in “Everybody Hates Chris,” which was followed by guest appearances in “Lincoln Heights,” “Whitney,” and “Touch.” Diop expanded her filmography with a role opposite Jennifer Jason Leigh in “The Moment” (2013). Her career progressed with significant television roles, including the supernatural drama “The Messengers” (2015) as Rose Arvale, a recurring role in the ABC thriller “Quantico” (2015), and a part in the Oprah Winfrey Network series “Greenleaf” (2016).

Diop achieved broader recognition with her main cast role as Nicole Carter in the Fox series “24: Legacy” (2016–2017). A pivotal moment in her career was being cast as the alien superheroine Kory Anders / Starfire in the DC Universe series “Titans” (2018–2023), a role that significantly raised her profile. She continued to diversify her work with a role in Jordan Peele’s horror film “Us” (2019), showcasing her versatility. In 2022, Diop took on a leading role in the psychological thriller film “Nanny,” which earned her the Spotlight Award at the Newport Beach Film Festival (2022). Her recent projects include roles in “The Book of Clarence” (2023) and “The Man in My Basement” (2025).
