Anna Shaffer

Anna Shaffer was born on March 15, 1992, in London, England. She attended Highgate Wood School, specializing in the arts, and completed her A Levels at Camden School for Girls. Her career in acting began prominently in 2007 when she was cast as Romilda Vane in “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.” She reprised this role in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1” (2010) and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2” (2011), establishing her early presence in a globally recognized film series.

Following her work in the Harry Potter films, Shaffer transitioned to television, joining the cast of the E4 soap opera “Hollyoaks” in December 2010. She portrayed the character Ruby Button, making her first on-screen appearance in January 2011. She continued in this regular role until her departure in February 2014, with brief returns in November 2017 and April 2018. During her tenure, she also appeared in a music video for Warehouse Republic in 2012. After leaving “Hollyoaks,” Shaffer took on roles in other television productions, including one episode of “Glue” in 2014 as Heather, and two episodes of “Class” in 2016 as Rachel Chapman. In 2017, she was cast in the TV mini-series “Fearless” for four episodes, further diversifying her acting portfolio. Her film work during this period also included “I Am Vengeance” in 2018, where she played Sandra. In 2019, Shaffer began a significant role as Triss Merigold in Netflix’s adaptation of “The Witcher” series, alongside Freya Allan, Anya Chalotra, and Henry Cavill, continuing this role through 2023 and an upcoming episode in 2025.
