Anne Curtis

Anne Curtis is a Filipino-Australian actress, model, television host, and entrepreneur, recognized for her extensive career in film and television and her significant influence in the entertainment industry. After her breakthrough role as the lead in the fantasy television series ‘Kampanerang Kuba’ in 2005, Anne Curtis solidified her status as a leading talent in the Philippine entertainment industry. Curtis first launched her career at the age of 12 with a role in the fantasy drama ‘Magic Kingdom: Ang Alamat ng Damortis’ in 1997. Following this debut, she signed with Viva Films and GMA Network, making her television appearance in the drama series ‘Ikaw na Sana’ (1997-1998).

Demonstrating her versatility, Curtis became one of the main hosts of the popular noontime variety show ‘It’s Showtime’ in 2009, a role she continues to hold. Her commercial success soared with the 2011 film ‘No Other Woman’, which became one of the highest-grossing Filipino films at the time and garnered her a FAMAS Award for Best Actress. She followed this with starring roles in successful films including ‘A Secret Affair’ (2012). Further expanding her artistry, Curtis ventured into music, releasing her debut album ‘Annebisyosa’ in 2011, which quickly achieved platinum status.

She began serving as a UNICEF Celebrity Advocate for Children in 2015 and was appointed a National Goodwill Ambassador in 2019. In 2016, she authored the children’s book ‘Anita, the Duckling Diva’. Most recently, in 2024, Curtis’ contributions to the entertainment industry were permanently honored with the unveiling of her wax figure at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.
