George Boyle, known professionally as A’Whora, was born on September 22, 1996, in Worksop, England. Early in their career, George pursued an education in fashion design. At the age of 16, they studied for a diploma in womenswear and fashion in Mansfield, graduating in 2013. This foundational education in fashion laid the groundwork for their subsequent professional endeavors.
In 2015, George Boyle moved to London to further their studies at the London College of Fashion. They earned a bachelor’s degree in womenswear in 2018, refining their skills and understanding of the fashion industry. During this period, A’Whora also began building a professional portfolio, which included producing a sustainable 10-piece collection for H&M in 2015. They also gained experience working for notable retailers such as Kurt Geiger and John Lewis & Partners. Their modeling work included features in Vogue Italia, and they established their own fashion label, Le’Boy George, demonstrating their entrepreneurial spirit and creative vision.
A’Whora’s public profile significantly increased in December 2020 when they were announced as a contestant on the second series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. They secured fifth place in the competition, gaining wider recognition for their drag artistry and fashion expertise. Following their appearance on the show, A’Whora participated in several tours, including the sold-out United Kingdolls Tour in July 2021 and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK: The Official Tour in February 2022. These performances further solidified their presence in the entertainment industry.
