Baby Animals have solidified their position as a prominent Australian hard rock band, achieving chart-topping success and critical acclaim across several decades. After their self-titled debut album, Baby Animals, achieved four-times Platinum certification with over 280,000 units sold and spent six weeks at number one on the ARIA Albums Charts in 1991, Baby Animals cemented their status as a leading Australian hard rock act. Formed in Sydney in October 1989 with Suze DeMarchi (lead vocals/guitar), Dave Leslie (guitar), Eddie Parise (bass), and Frank Celenza (drums), the band quickly built momentum. Their demo ‘Break My Heart’ featured on The Angels’ B-side in April 1990, leading to a national tour and securing publishing and record deals with SBK Songs (August 1990) and Imago Recording Company.
Further solidifying their active career, Baby Animals released the single ‘Tonight’ in February 2018, leading up to their comprehensive Greatest Hits album in February 2019. This period culminated with a significant co-headlining ‘They Who Rock 2019’ tour alongside Australian rock legends The Angels in November 2019, performing to packed venues across the country and reaffirming their status as a powerhouse live act.
