Barbara de Regil

Bárbara de Regil is an actress and fitness instructor who rose to fame playing the role of Rosario in the Mexican version of Colombian show Rosario Tijeras. She also appeared in the soap opera Bajo el alma, Secretos de Familia (Azteca productions) and on the Mexican reality television show New Generation Telehit, which searched for the new producer of a music video channel. She has also appeared in several movies including Crazy for Work, Happy Times and Ni Tú Ni Yo. Regil is often said to have “the best abs in Mexico” and is as well known for her fitness routines and incredible physique as she is for her acting.

Born in Mexico City, Regil became a single mother when she was 17 years old. When the father of her child stopped supporting her she combined photography and psychology studies at university with a part-time job in order to get ahead on her own. She later entered the Actor Training Center for Television and found her true calling in life, going on to participate in the search for a new video channel producer on the reality show New Generation Telehit in 2009. Two years later, she made her small screen debut in soap opera Bajo el alma before getting her big break in Rosario Tijeras, where she played a woman taking revenge on those who had abused her.

The model, actress and fitness guru now has a huge online following, including 7.2 million followers on Instagram and 4.1 million on TikTok.
