Barry Williams is an American actor and singer best known for his performance as Greg Brady in ABC’s hit family sitcom The Brady Bunch. With a career spanning six decades, Williams is a veteran in his industry.
California-born Williams knew that he wanted to be an actor from a young age and got his start on-screen when he was cast as Stanley in Run for Your Life at just 11. From there, his career took off, with roles in dozens of television shows soon following. These appearances include Hannibal in General Hospital, Ben Price in Lancer, Herbie DuBois in It Takes a Thief, Johnny Grand in Adam-12 and King Victor in Mission: Impossible.
Williams’ big break came when he was cast as Greg Brady, the eldest son of the Brady’s, in ABC’s The Brady Bunch. The show ran for five seasons and spawned several spin-offs, including The Brady Kids, The Brady Bunch Variety Hour, The Brady Girls Get Married and The Bradys, for which he reprised the role. Since then, Williams has become a well-known face around the world, with additional credits including Murder, She Wrote, Full House, Hollywood 7, That ‘70s Show, Scrubs and Flea.
As a singer and stage performer, Williams has appeared on Broadway in musical productions of Romance/ Romance and Pippin. Having appeared in over 85 stage productions, both on Broadway and off-Broadway, including Grease, The Sound of Music, and Westside Story, Williams has proven himself a natural and versatile performer.
With several films currently in production, Williams is as enthusiastic about performing as he was when he first discovered his love for acting. He is currently touring with his musical group Barry Williams and The Traveliers. Williams has no plans to retire at any time soon and is excited for the years to come.
