Bd Wong

BD Wong is an American actor, director, and activist known for his diverse roles across film, television, and Broadway, bringing significant contributions to the performing arts. After his groundbreaking Broadway debut in ‘M. Butterfly’ in 1988, where he originated the role of Song Liling, Bd Wong went on to earn a rare clean sweep of prestigious awards, establishing himself as a versatile force in the performing arts. His acclaimed performance secured him the Tony Award for Best Actor (Featured Role – Play), the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play, an Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Debut Performance, the Clarence Derwent Award for Most Promising Male Performer, and a Theatre World Award, all in 1988.
