Beck Bennett has transitioned from sketch comedy to mainstream acting, lending his versatile skills to both comedic roles and voice work in animated productions. After gaining widespread recognition for his deadpan moderator role in AT&T’s ‘It’s Not Complicated’ advertising campaign, which launched in 2013, Beck Bennett established himself as a versatile comedic and voice actor. Bennett’s career began flourishing earlier with the improv/sketch group Commedus Interruptus, which he joined in 2003. In 2007, he co-founded the sketch comedy group Good Neighbor alongside Kyle Mooney, Nick Rutherford, and Dave McCary.
His live-action film credits around this time include Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020), and he voiced Eric and Pal Max Robots in the animated hit The Mitchells vs. the Machines (2021). Since 2022, Bennett has voiced Hamster in Disney Channel’s Hamster & Gretel (2022-2025) and joined the cast of Big Mouth as Owen in 2023. In 2023, Bennett voiced Sir Thoddeus Sureblade in the animated feature Nimona and became the distinctive voice of Hank the Buffalo for Buffalo Wild Wings commercials.
His recent on-screen appearances include Barney Stein in Jerry Seinfeld’s Unfrosted (2024). Looking ahead, Bennett is slated for a busy 2025, appearing as Steve Lombard in James Gunn’s highly anticipated Superman and participating in SNL50: The Anniversary Special. He will also lend his voice to Carl Crunch in Digman!, Oz in Solar Opposites, and Sterling in Fixed, while launching the podcast ‘What’s Our Podcast?’ with Kyle Mooney. He is currently in post-production for The Last Resort, expected in 2026.
