Broadway veteran Ben Cameron is a star of the original Broadway productions of Wicked, Footloose and Aida. He appears on the Wicked cast album, and toured Europe and the US in productions of The Who’s Tommy, Fame and Sweet Charity alongside Molly Ringwald. He’s also appeared on the cast album of Sky: The Music of Bobby Cronin singing the track ‘Dance Your Troubles Away’ and Footloose. Cameron’s one-man show Different is Good enjoyed two sold-out runs in 2005 and 2010.
Cameron has performed as a dancer for recording artists, on The ESPY Awards and in the inaugural dance companies of Dre Dance and Odyssey Dance Theatre, and has also served as creative consultant for Mapinspired:The Storytellers’ Dance Company. He is also a highly sought after writer for benefit and award shows and has contributed to The Lucille Lortel Awards, Broadway’s Benefit for Hurricane Relief and the NYMF Inaugural Gala. Since retiring as a dancer, Cameron created Broadway Sessions, which has delighted audiences for 13 seasons at The Laurie Beechman Theatre.
Since creating Broadway Sessions, Cameron has been in demand as one of the most beloved personalities and hosts in the theatre community, and received three MAC nominations as host of Mostly Sondheim at The Duplex. Away from the world of theatre, he has worked on television and web producing Dance Captain Dance Attack, My Broadway Bar and The Broadway Cast, a smash hit podcast, and has hosted several shows for New York PBS station WNET.
