Peter Rowsthorn began his professional entertainment career in 1983 as one half of the comedy and singing duo, The Cactus Brothers. He quickly gained recognition as a dynamic stand-up comic before becoming a performer and writer for the popular television series ‘The Comedy Company’ in 1989, a role that significantly established his presence in the Australian comedy scene. Building on this early success, Rowsthorn further showcased his comedic and acting range in the theatrical production ‘Let the Blood Run Free,’ performing as Warren Cronkshonk from 1990 to 1993. For this production, he also contributed as a writer, providing additional material.
Wonderful’ in 2025, is currently filming the TV Mini Series ‘Reckless’ for a 2025 release, and is in pre-production for the short film ‘Tradies,’ where he will play the role of Barry.
