Benedikt Duda

Benedikt Duda was born on April 4, 1994, in Gummersbach, Germany. His early exposure to the sport came from his father, a former professional table tennis player at TTC Schwalbe in Bergneustadt, where Duda grew up. He started playing table tennis at the age of 10, beginning a journey that would lead him to professional success. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a left-handed shakehand playing style, contributing to his effectiveness in competitive play. Duda has been a member of the TTC Schwalbe Bergneustadt club.

Duda’s career highlights include significant achievements in European and World Championships. In 2019, he secured a gold medal at the European Team Championship, a title he successfully defended two years later in 2021. He participated in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, competing in the Men’s Team event and achieving a #2 ranking. His performance at the 2022 World Team Table Tennis Championships earned him a silver medal after Germany advanced to the final against China. In 2023, Duda again contributed to a silver medal win at the European Table Tennis Championships in Malmö, where the German team faced Sweden in the final.

His individual accomplishments include several singles titles in the WTT Feeder and Contender series. He won the WTT Feeder Düsseldorf in 2021, followed by the WTT Feeder Biella title in 2022. More recently, Duda claimed the WTT Contender Mendoza title in 2024 and the WTT Contender Skopje title in 2025. These victories reflect his continued presence and impact in the international table tennis circuit, maintaining a high level of competition and achieving a highest ranking of 10 on August 5, 2025.
