The incredible Bronson Arroyo is a gifted musician and former professional baseball pitcher. He is best known for his time playing with the Cincinnati Reds in the MLB between 2006-2013, and in 2017. He releases music and regularly performs live with The Bronson Arroyo Band.
Born and raised in Key West and Brooksville, Florida, Arroyo was prolific at basketball and baseball during High School. He then chose to pursue baseball as a career and played college baseball as a pitcher at South Florida University. He turned professional when the Pittsburgh Pirates selected him in the third round of the 1995 Major League Baseball draft, and made his MLB debut in 2000. In 2003 he joined the Boston Red Sox, going on to help them win the World Series the following year. In 2006 he joined the Cincinnati Reds, staying with the team until the end of the 2013 season. In 2014 he joined the Arizona Diamondbacks. However injury ruled him out for much of the season and all of the 2015 season. Between 2015 and 2017 he played for the Atlanta Braves/Los Angeles Dodgers, and the Washington Nationals, before returning to the Reds in 2017. He retired the same year. Throughout his playing career Arroyo kept up his music, performing live and releasing sounds. He made his public stage debut in 2004, and in 2005 released his debut album, Covering the Bases.
