Bubba Paris

William “Bubba” Paris was born on October 6, 1960, in Louisville, Kentucky. He attended DeSales High School, where he distinguished himself in football. His collegiate career continued at the University of Michigan, where he earned recognition as All-Big Ten and All-American. He was also a second-team Academic All-American, demonstrating a balance of athletic and academic achievement.

Paris was selected in the second round, 29th overall pick, of the 1982 NFL draft by the San Francisco 49ers. He commenced his professional football career in 1983 as an offensive tackle, playing eight seasons with the 49ers until 1990. During his tenure with the San Francisco 49ers, Paris was a member of three Super Bowl championship teams (Super Bowl XIX, XXIII, and XXIV). His contributions to the team were recognized by his peers, who awarded him the Len Eshmont Award in 1987. Following his time with the 49ers, he played briefly for the Indianapolis Colts and Detroit Lions in 1991, concluding his NFL playing career with 130 games played and 105 starts.

After his professional football career, Bubba Paris transitioned into a role as a motivational speaker across the United States. In 1982, he established Paris Enterprises, a marketing and promotional firm. He has also engaged in media roles as an analyst for ESPN2, CBS, and ABC, covering NFL Football. More recently, in 2024, he was appointed as the first Executive Director for the Donor Network West Foundation, where he is responsible for overseeing operations, growing fundraising opportunities, and developing key partnerships.
