Augustus Prew was born on September 17, 1987, in Westminster, London, England, UK. He began his acting career at a young age, appearing in the critically acclaimed film “About a Boy” in 2002. This early exposure helped establish his foundation in the industry.
Throughout his career, Prew has engaged in a diverse range of projects, demonstrating versatility in his acting. Notable film roles include his portrayal of Alistair Woolley in “Charlie St. Cloud” (2010), Robin De Noir in “The Secret of Moonacre” (2008), and Todd/Ass Kicker in “Kick-Ass 2” (2013). His significant television work includes playing David ‘Whip’ Martin in the popular series “Prison Break” (2017) and James Bell in “Pure Genius” (2016–2017). He has also taken on roles in “The Morning Show” (2019-2021) as Sean and in “Special” (2019) as Carey.
More recently, Augustus Prew has continued to expand his television portfolio with appearances in “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” (2022) where he played Médhor, and as Tony Adams in the mini-series “Nolly” (2023). He also starred as Brannagan in the 2024 film “Players” and as Adam Ellis in “Dear David” (2023). Looking ahead, he is set to appear as Gus in the upcoming TV series “The Hurt Unit” and as Jeffrey in the TV mini-series “Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy” (2025), further solidifying his presence in both ongoing and new productions. In August 2024, it was announced that Prew joined the cast of the Paramount+ original drama series “1923” for Season 2 in a recurring role as Paul.
