Part of a Hollywood dynasty that includes Kirk Douglas, Michael Douglas, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, Cameron Douglas has the silver screen in his blood. Initially beginning his career as a DJ, Douglas went on to star in several high-profile Hollywood roles, beginning with Jackie Chan’s 1997 epic martial arts movie Mr. Nice Guy. He followed this with a minor role alongside his father in the Oscar-winning drama Wonder Boys, then doubling down on the paternal connection with 2003 comedy-drama It Runs in the Family, featuring his real-life father and grandparents playing a dysfunctional family. Douglas’ first lead role came with Adam & Eve, a college comedy romp released as part of the popular National Lampoon series, swiftly followed by a supporting slot in the 2008 action flick Loaded.
Following an extended hiatus from the screen, Douglas has returned in 2018 to lead the cast in the critically-acclaimed independent short Dead Layer. Directed by Carter Winter and Aleksey Reznikov, the feature stars Douglas as a down-and-out NYC graffiti artist in a crime-fuelled caper that’s set to revitalise his acting career and push this talented performer back into the spotlight once again. With charisma, good looks and star power oozing from every pore, Douglas is an ideal choice for any brand partnership, speaking engagement or corporate event.
