Captain Lee

Captain Lee Rosbach began his career in the restaurant industry, owning and operating several establishments. He transitioned into yachting at the age of 35, a field he discovered while living in Turks & Caicos. Rosbach obtained his captain’s license after this career shift, demonstrating his dedication to mastering a new profession. He quickly advanced in the yachting world, commanding various vessels and navigating diverse global waters over the subsequent decades.

His significant public recognition began in 2013 with his debut on Bravo’s reality television series, “Below Deck.” As the captain of the superyacht “Honor” in the first season, Rosbach became a consistent and central figure on the show. His leadership style, characterized by a no-nonsense approach and distinct one-liners, resonated with audiences, establishing him as a fan favorite. He continued to be a staple cast member for ten seasons, guiding the crew through numerous charter seasons in various exotic locations, including Sint Maarten, the British Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, the US Virgin Islands, Tahiti, Thailand, Antigua, and St. Kitts. During his tenure on “Below Deck,” Rosbach oversaw operations on several yachts, including “Honor,” “Ohana,” “Eros,” “Valor,” and “My Seanna.”

Beyond his television appearances, Captain Lee authored the memoir “Running Against the Tide,” published in 2018, which chronicles his life journey from a landlocked upbringing in Saginaw, Michigan, to his successful career on the high seas. He has also engaged in public speaking and advocacy, notably appearing before lawmakers on Capitol Hill. His continued presence in media and his commitment to his profession have maintained his status as a respected figure in both the yachting community and popular culture.
