Caroline Hyde, born on May 24, 1984, in London, England, has established a notable career in broadcast journalism, specializing in business and technology news. She pursued higher education at Oxford University, where she earned an MA (Oxon) in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. Her professional journey began in public relations at London’s Moorgate Group. Here, she functioned as a debt market specialist, managing campaigns for clients such as Standard & Poor’s and Lloyds Banking Group, gaining foundational experience in financial communications.

Hyde joined Bloomberg in 2008 as a corporate finance reporter for Bloomberg News. Her initial focus was on European debt markets, covering company loans, bonds, and sovereign debt. During this period, she reported on significant financial events, including the freeze in the European loan market after the Lehman Brothers collapse and the unfolding European sovereign debt crisis, as well as providing breaking news on government bond sales from Greece.
