Celine Naef

Celine Naef was born on June 25, 2005, in Feusisberg, Switzerland. She began playing tennis at the age of five. Naef had a successful junior career, achieving a career-high ranking of world No. 4. In 2022, she won the Trofeo Bonfiglio, a Grade A junior tournament. The same year, she reached the girls’ doubles final at the French Open, partnering with Nikola Bartůňková. She also secured a silver medal at the European Youth Championship in Klosters, Switzerland, in July 2022.

Naef made her professional debut on the ITF Circuit in 2022, winning her first final in Monastir, Tunisia, in March. She continued her success by winning both singles and doubles titles in Reims, France, in October 2022. A week later, she secured another singles title in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin. Her progress continued into 2023 with a title win in Loughborough, England, and both singles and doubles championships in Porto, Portugal, at a W40 tournament.

In 2023, Naef made her WTA Tour debut as a wildcard at the Rosmalen Open in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, where she recorded her first tour-level win against Venus Williams. She reached the quarterfinals of this event and also made her Grand Slam debut at Wimbledon after successfully qualifying. In 2024, she achieved a significant milestone by reaching the singles final at the WTA 125 Open de Limoges, contributing to her year-end ranking of World No. 153. She has also won one doubles title on the WTA Challenger Tour and multiple titles on the ITF Circuit, demonstrating a steady progression in her professional career.
