Chanelle Hayes

Chanelle Jade Hayes (née Sinclair) was born on November 11, 1987, in Wythenshawe, Manchester, England. She was adopted and grew up in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Hayes first gained public recognition in 2007 at the age of 19, when she appeared on the eighth series of Channel 4’s reality show, Big Brother. Her time in the house was notable for her romance with fellow housemate Ziggy Lichman and her high IQ score of 114 during a Big Brother test. Following her departure from the show, she quickly became a fixture in the media, frequently appearing in newspapers and magazines for photoshoots and interviews.

Hayes leveraged her reality TV fame into a diverse career path. She ventured into glamour modeling, regularly gracing the covers of popular lads’ magazines such as Nuts and Zoo Weekly. In 2008, she launched a music career, releasing her debut single “I Want It,” which charted at No. 63 on the UK Singles Chart and saw its remixes reach the top 10 in DJ club charts. The same year, she starred in the VH1 UK reality TV series “Chanelle: Wannabe Popstar,” documenting her efforts in the music industry. Additionally, Hayes demonstrated her entrepreneurial spirit by opening a cake-making business in Wakefield in 2011.

Her career continued to evolve with various television appearances on shows such as “This Morning,” “Celebrity Scissorhands,” “Ready Steady Cook,” and “The Friday Night Project.” She also became a columnist for Star magazine, sharing her insights on “Big Brother 9.” In 2014, her autobiography, “Baring My Heart,” co-written with Anna Pointer, was released. More recently, in 2024, Hayes achieved a significant career milestone by graduating from university and beginning work as a qualified nurse. She also operates a travel business, assisting others in making money while pursuing their travel aspirations.
