Charles Oliveira

Charles Oliveira is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist, known for his prolific submission game and numerous UFC records. After quickly establishing himself as a dominant force in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Charles Oliveira went on to become a professional mixed martial artist, setting multiple records in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Oliveira first captured the São Paulo championship just two months after beginning jiu-jitsu, repeating the feat in 2004, and adding the Copa Nação Jiu-Jitsu title in 2005. His early success continued, accumulating 16 medals in 2006 before earning the distinction of a two-time CBJJE World Champion in 2007 as a blue belt, followed by a silver medal and the CBJJE South American Champion title as a purple belt in 2008.

Beyond his decorated fighting career, Charles Oliveira is also recognized for his significant philanthropic contributions. In 2025, he was announced as a deserving recipient of the prestigious Forrest Griffin Community Award, an honor celebrating his dedication to uplifting his community. This recognition stems from his impactful work with the ICBronxs institute, his non-profit organization dedicated to providing free education and Brazilian jiu-jitsu training to underprivileged youth, fostering development and opportunity through sport and learning.
