Charlie Brown is a talented British modern pentathlete who has rapidly ascended in the sport since making his senior debut just 18 months ago. He began his journey at Hartpury College, where he showcased his potential by winning the U19 title at the 2019 British Modern Triathlon Championships. His dedication and hard work paid off as he joined the elite Pentathlon GB squad at the Team Bath Sports Training Village in September 2021, shortly after the Tokyo Olympics, setting the stage for his future successes.
In 2022, Brown made headlines by winning gold in the mixed relay at the UIPM Pentathlon Junior World Championships alongside Emma Whitaker. His impressive performances continued into 2023, where he secured gold in the mixed relay at the UIPM Pentathlon World Cup in Sofia with teammate Kerenza Bryson. Additionally, he demonstrated his competitive spirit at the European Games, finishing 11th in the individual competition while contributing to the men’s team gold.
Brown’s achievements culminated in a remarkable performance at the 2023 World Championships, where he earned a silver medal with his teammates Myles Pillage and Joe Choong. In July 2024, Brown was selected as a late replacement for the Paris 2024 Olympics, an opportunity he embraced with gratitude.
