Charlie Weis is a former American football coach known for his tenure as head coach for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Kansas Jayhawks, and as an offensive coordinator with multiple NFL teams, including the New England Patriots, where he won three Super Bowl victorie After contributing to a Super Bowl XXV victory as an offensive assistant with the New York Giants in 1990, Charlie Weis steadily advanced his professional coaching career in the NFL. He served as running back coach for the Giants before joining the New England Patriots from 1993 to 1996, holding positions including tight end, running back, and wide receiver coach. A significant turning point came when Weis became the offensive coordinator for the New York Jets from 1997 to 1999, where he was instrumental in improving their offense to fourth in the league during his second year. Weis returned to the New England Patriots as offensive coordinator from 2000 to 2004, a period marked by three Super Bowl victories: XXXVI in 2001, XXXVIII in 2003, and XXXIX in 2004.
