Chase Coleman

Born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and raised in Monroe, Louisiana, Chase Coleman embarked on his artistic journey early, becoming the lead singer of the rock band Crawl Space during high school. His interest in acting developed while attending the University of Louisiana at Monroe, leading him to perform with local theatre groups. A pivotal moment in his early career came when he competed at the Mike Beaty Model and Talent Expo in Dallas, winning multiple awards, which led to an invitation to New York City and subsequent signing with Stage 2000 and Suzelle Enterprises.

Coleman’s acting career quickly gained momentum with a role on “One Life to Live,” followed by guest appearances in notable series such as “The Good Wife,” “Gossip Girl,” “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” and “Kings.” A significant achievement was his portrayal of Billy Winslow in HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire,” which earned him a Screen Actors Guild Award in 2010 for “Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.” He also received an Indie Soap Award nomination in 2011 for “Best Supporting Actor in a Drama” for his role as Dr. Dane Sullivan in “In Between Men.”

His career continued to progress with a recurring role as Oliver, a werewolf, in “The Originals,” a spin-off of “The Vampire Diaries,” appearing in twelve episodes between 2014 and 2015. Coleman also demonstrated his versatility by founding Bloodstone Productions, where he wrote, directed, and starred in the short film “Into the Rose Garden.” Beyond acting, he actively pursues music, founding the band Mercy Mode in 2017 and performing acoustically at fan conventions globally, showcasing both mainstream covers and original compositions. His most recent prominent role was as Tanner Watts in the CBS daytime series, “The Young and the Restless” in 2020.
