Chatri Sityodtong is a Thai entrepreneur and martial arts instructor, recognized for founding ONE Championship and his lifelong dedication to martial arts. After graduating with a B.A. in Economics from Tufts University in 1994 and earning an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1999, Chatri Sityodtong embarked on a distinguished career in finance. He gained experience as an investment analyst at Fidelity Investments and later served as a managing director at Maverick Capital, a prominent hedge fund.
Sityodtong also starred in the critically acclaimed global edition of The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition on Netflix, which earned the prestigious Asia’s Best Reality TV Series award at the 2021 Asian Academy Awards. Sityodtong’s deep martial arts expertise underpins his ventures. He is a certified senior Muay Thai instructor, having trained under Kru Yodtong Senanan at Sityodtong Gym in Pattaya, Thailand, where he earned the ring name Yodchatri Sityodtong. His lifelong dedication was recognized with his induction into the Black Belt Hall of Fame in 2019.
Further showcasing his commitment, he received his black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Master Renzo Gracie on air at ONE 168 in 2024. In 2022, Sityodtong accepted an invitation from the Royal Thai Army to become a promoter at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Beyond his entrepreneurial success and martial arts accomplishments, Chatri Sityodtong is actively involved in philanthropic efforts. He consistently supports various charitable organizations, including the Global Poverty Project, Boys’ Town Home, the Singapore Children’s Society, and the Children’s Cancer Foundation, leveraging his platform to make a positive impact globally.
