Christian Vazquez

Christian Oliver B. Vazquez was born on February 8, 1977, in Bacolod, Philippines. He graduated from the University of St. La Salle-Integrated School in Bacolod City in 1994. Vazquez began his career in the early 2000s, gaining early recognition for a notable television commercial for the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT). This commercial, featuring a mix of Ilonggo and Tagalog dialogue, helped establish his public persona with the line “Kung saan ka masaya te suportahan ta ka” (“I will support you, wherever you are gonna be happy with”). This early exposure provided a foundation for his subsequent work in the entertainment industry.

His acting career expanded rapidly, encompassing roles in both film and television. In 2006, Vazquez participated in ABS-CBN’s reality series, “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition,” as a housemate, further increasing his public profile before being officially evicted on March 4, 2006. Over the years, he has appeared in numerous drama series and films, consistently taking on a variety of characters. Some of his notable television projects include “Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan” (2001–2003), “Hiram” (2004–2005), and “Princess and I” (2012). His filmography includes titles such as “Minsan Pa” (2004) and “Pedro Calungsod: Batang Martir” (2013), where he portrayed Padre Diego de San Vitores.

Vazquez has demonstrated a sustained career with roles in prominent shows like “Wildflower” (2017–2018), playing Atty. Dante Cruz and Damian “Jaguar” Cruz, and “Voltes V: Legacy” (2023), where he appeared as Emperor Zu Zambojil in 90 episodes. He has also been a prolific actor in anthology series such as “Magpakailanman” and “Ipaglaban Mo!”. Throughout his career, Vazquez has received 4 wins and 1 nomination for various awards. Beyond acting, he also holds one producer credit for the 2008 film “Namets!”. Christian Vazquez has three children, including a daughter named Christienne Aubrielle.
