Christina Hendricks is an award-winning American actress and former model, widely recognised for playing the role of Joan Holloway on the hit drama series Mad Men from 2007 to 2015. This memorable performance won Hendricks critical acclaim and many accolades including six Primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Hendricks has also appeared in many film roles, including The Neon Demon (2016), the comedy Fist Fight (2017) and animated blockbuster Toy Story 4 (2019). Hendricks currently stars in the NBC series Good Girls and the crime drama series Tin Star.
Hendricks was born in Tennessee and began her career in New York City working as a successful international model for over ten years before pursuing an acting career. Her first television roles included recurring parts in Beggars and Choosers and Kevin Hill, and her big break came in 2007 when she landed the part of Joan Holloway on AMC period drama Mad Men. The show became a worldwide hit, propelling Hendricks to global stardom.
