Nick Petrangelo

Nick Petrangelo was born on January 2, 1987, in Feeding Hills, Massachusetts. He began his poker career by playing online under the nickname ‘caecilius’, showing early promise by scooping the most points in the PocketFives ranking for successful online tournament players in December 2012. His transition to live tournaments began in 2009, marking the start of a significant career in professional poker that has seen him accrue substantial earnings and numerous titles.

Petrangelo’s career progressed steadily, culminating in him winning his first World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet in 2015. This achievement was followed by a runner-up finish in the $100,000 WPT Alpha8 No Limit Hold’em High Roller event in December 2015, where he secured over $1 million in prize money. He continued to build on this success, winning a side event at the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown in 2016 and the 2017 Aussie Millions ANTON Jewellery AU$100,000 Challenge, netting him AU$882,000.

A significant milestone in Petrangelo’s career occurred in 2018 when he won his second WSOP bracelet in the $100,000 No-Limit Hold’em event at the World Series of Poker, earning his largest live tournament score of $2,910,227.
