Coleen Garcia embarked on a significant phase of her career in 2011 by signing with ABS-CBN’s Star Magic, leading to her television debut in the anthology series Maalaala Mo Kaya and appearances in shows like Good Vibes, My Binondo Girl, Wansapanataym, Oka Tokat, and Little Champ. Prior to this, Garcia had already established a notable presence in the entertainment industry, beginning with a Johnson & Johnson commercial at age two and becoming an image model for Just G by age nine. As a teenager between 2009 and 2011, she secured various commercial endorsements for prominent brands including Skin White with John Lloyd Cruz, Lewis & Pearl cologne with Enrique Gil, and Nestea. In 2012, Garcia expanded her reach as a co-host for the popular noontime variety show It’s Showtime, a role she maintained until 2016.

Her film debut came in 2013 with ‘She’s the One.’ Following her successful transition into film, Garcia garnered critical acclaim for her supporting role in the independent film #Y (2014), earning a Best Cast Ensemble citation at the 10th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival. In 2016, she made the strategic decision to concentrate primarily on her acting career, departing from It’s Showtime. This shift marked a period of diverse lead roles, notably in the teleserye Pasión de Amor (2015–2016), an adaptation of a Colombian telenovela. On the big screen, she took lead roles in ‘Ex with Benefits’ (2015), ‘Love Me Tomorrow’ (2016), and ‘Sin Island’ (2018).

Demonstrating her ongoing commitment to challenging roles, Coleen Garcia has a busy year ahead with multiple feature film releases in 2024. She is set to star in ‘Playtime’ (2024), ‘Friendly Fire’ (2024), and ‘Isang gabi’ (2024), showcasing her continued evolution and expansive range across the Philippine entertainment landscape.
