Burak Özdemir, known as CZN Burak, was born on March 24, 1996, in Yayladağı, Turkey. His nickname, CZN, is derived from a common mispronunciation of “Cinzano,” the name of his father’s textile shop in Laleli, Istanbul. He rose to prominence through social media, where he features himself preparing oversized Turkish and Middle Eastern dishes while maintaining a consistent smile for the camera. These videos often include him donating large meals to those in need, such as his efforts in 2023 to cook for earthquake survivors in Turkey.
His entrepreneurial journey includes establishing the CZN Burak chain of restaurants. Currently, he owns two branches in Turkey, located in Vadistanbul Mall and Etiler. In 2021, the CZN Burak restaurant opened in Dubai on Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard. He emphasized that his brand is a reflection of his personal effort and connection with his audience, not merely a commercial entity. Despite this, he continues to expand his culinary presence with various CZN Burak Gurme locations across multiple countries, focusing on Turkish cuisine with a modern presentation.
