D-Piddy is a cosplayer, YouTuber, and former bboy, best known for playing the character of Deadpool in viral videos and at conventions. Besides Deadpool, he plays a host of other masked characters, and has become one of the internet’s most popular and emulated cosplayers.

LA-based D-Piddy is a longstanding fan of comics, and has been cosplaying and attending comic cons for many years. Originally, his favourite comic character was Spiderman, but after stumbling across the character of Deadpool in a cousin’s collection of Marvel Fleer trading cards, he changed his allegiance. He began researching and collecting comics that featured the character, and soon saw potential for cosplaying the him, drawing especially on his skills as a dancer and bboy. When Psy’s Gangnam Style became a global hit and internet sensation in 2012, Piddy filmed a parody featuring himself as Deadpool, which quickly went viral and helped cement his fame both within the cosplaying community and beyond.

Over the following years, D-Piddy’s fame grew, and in 2015 he was profiled by Business Insider as ‘the internet’s most famous Deadpool cosplayer’. He quickly made a name for himself through his antics at conventions, and diversified beyond the Deadpool role to demonstrate numerous other characters. Today, he is an undisputed internet star, with tens of thousands of followers on Twitter, Twitch and Instagram, almost half a million fans on Facebook, and 1.3 million subscribers on YouTube
