Dale Murray, a qualified accountant and technology entrepreneur, co-founded the British mobile telecoms software business Omega Logic in 1999. This venture was instrumental in launching pre-pay mobile ‘top-ups’ in the UK by 2001, through collaborations with networks such as Orange and Vodafone. Under her leadership, Omega Logic achieved a remarkable gross transaction revenue of £450 million within five years. Following its successful sale to Eposs Ltd and subsequently to First Data Corporation in 2004, Ms.
Murray served as CEO of the enlarged group until 2005. Her earlier professional experience included roles as an accountant with PwC in New Zealand, with Vodafone NZ after its launch in 1992, and later with Pearson in the UK. After exiting Omega Logic, Ms. Murray transitioned into angel investing, focusing on digital sector startups, a path that led to her being awarded British Angel Investor of the Year in 2011.
Ms. Murray has maintained a significant presence on various boards, serving as a non-executive director at Sussex Place Ventures since 2013. In 2015, Debretts recognized her as one of the ‘500 most influential people in Britain,’ further cementing her standing as a business leader. Her broad expertise and leadership capabilities are demonstrated through numerous past non-executive director roles, which include the Peter Jones Foundation, Rated People Limited, and LendInvest plc.
Murray further solidified her strategic acumen with an MBA from London Business School.
