Damian Powers rose to fame when he appeared on the premiere season of Netflix’s reality show, Love is Blind. Fans loved watching his relationship with Giannina “Gigi” Gibelli bloom, and the two of them are still together after the show’s conclusion. Now, he primarily connects with his fanbase on Instagram, where he has over 800K followers.

Before Powers joined the cast of Love Is Blind, he worked as a general manager at Industrial Supplies Company. But as someone in the dating pool, he had joined a few dating apps. Little did he know, the girl he’d been hitting it off with for a week and a half had actually been a casting producer that slid into his DM’s. He was scouted for Netflix’s new show, where couples date while being isolated in pods, never seeing the face of their partner and only hearing their voice.

During his time on the show, Powers and then-fiancée Gibelli were a fan-favorite, given their unpredictability. And in the grand finale, audiences were shocked when Powers said “I don’t” at the altar, leaving Gibelli to run from the wedding, and trip in the mud in her wedding dress. But the two ended up not wanting to rush into marriage and have had a successful relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend for over a year and a half.

Upon the show’s completion, Powers still stays in touch with the cast, and even joined an organization called Brawl for A Cause, run by former-castmate, Matt Thomas. As for Gibelli and Powers, future marriage isn’t out of the question.
