Shamier Anderson was born in Toronto, Canada, on May 6, 1991. He attended Wexford School for the Arts, graduating with honors after majoring in Musical Theatre and the Drama Intensive Program. His early interests included criminology and martial arts, specifically Wing Chun Kung Fu, skills that he sometimes integrated into his acting work. Shamier’s acting career began in 2009, leading to appearances in various television shows and films. He is currently based in Los Angeles, California.

Anderson gained recognition for his role as U.S. Deputy Marshal Xavier Dolls in the television series “Wynonna Earp,” which ran from 2016 to 2018. His career progressed with notable appearances in movies such as “Race” (2016), where he played Eulace Peacock, and “Destroyer” (2018), in which he portrayed Antonio. More recently, he starred as Trevante Cole in the Apple TV+ series “Invasion” (2021–present) and took on the role of Tracker/Mr. Nobody in the film “John Wick: Chapter 4” (2023). These roles have established him as a consistent presence in both television and feature films, demonstrating his versatility across genres.

Beyond acting, Shamier Anderson has also taken on producing roles. He has served as an executive producer on several projects, including “A Better Paradise” (2024), a podcast series, and “The Legacy Awards” in both 2022 and 2023. He also co-founded The B.L.A.C.K. Ball (Building a Legacy in Acting, Cinema and Knowledge) with his brother, Stephan James, an initiative that celebrates Black Canadians during the Toronto International Film Festival. This involvement in production and community initiatives highlights his expanding influence within the entertainment industry.
