Daniel Burrus

Daniel Burrus co-directed the nation’s first federally funded student training assistance program in 1971, providing free tutoring, test files, and course selection assistance to college students. Following this pioneering initiative, Burrus served as a science teacher from 1971 to 1978, during which time he was nominated for an Educator of the Year Award. Building on these foundational experiences, he founded Burrus Research Associates, Inc. in 1983.

His contributions to understanding future trends and their strategic implications have also been prominently featured in leading publications such as Harvard Business Review, Forbes, and Wired magazine, further establishing his authority in technology forecasting and strategic foresight. In 2015, Burrus joined the National Board of Advisors at High Point University, lending his foresight to academic leadership. His ongoing influence continues to be acknowledged, with RETHINK Retail recognizing him as a Top 2025 Retail Influencer.
