Daniel Burrus co-directed the nation’s first federally funded student training assistance program in 1971, providing free tutoring, test files, and course selection assistance to college students. Following this pioneering initiative, Burrus served as a science teacher from 1971 to 1978, during which time he was nominated for an Educator of the Year Award. Building on these foundational experiences, he founded Burrus Research Associates, Inc. in 1983.
