Daniel Hulme

Daniel Hulme is an expert in Artificial Intelligence and future technologies, serving as CEO of Satalia and Chief AI Officer for WPP, while also contributing to academia and public discourse. After founding NPComplete Limited in 2007, which later incorporated in 2008 and began trading as Satalia, Daniel Hulme went on to establish himself as a leading expert in Artificial Intelligence and future technologies. Hulme further solidified his academic credentials with a master’s degree and a doctorate from University College London (UCL), both focused on AI-related subjects. In 2009, he was awarded a prestigious Kauffman Global Entrepreneur Scholarship, which facilitated visits to institutions including Stanford, MIT, Berkeley, and Harvard, alongside a placement at Cisco Systems HQ in Silicon Valley to study innovation culture.

Expanding his impact in 2024, Hulme co-founded Conscium, an AI safety company dedicated to the understanding, verification, and validation of conscious AI, alongside the development of neuromorphic computing. He maintains robust ties with academia, serving as UCL’s Computer Science Entrepreneur-in-Residence, a faculty member at Singularity University, and a visiting lecturer at the London School of Economics’ Marshall Institute. A prolific public speaker and writer on AI, ethics, technology, innovation, and organizational design, Hulme also co-signed an open letter to the United Nations in 2017, warning against the use of AI in autonomous weapons.
