Daniella Pineda’s professional acting career began with an episode of The CW’s ‘Men of a Certain Age’ in 2010, concurrent with her recognized work in online comedy sketch videos for CollegeHumor from 2010 to 2011. She made her feature film debut in Edward Burns’ 2011 comedy-drama ‘Newlyweds.’ Pineda’s early television success continued with a significant role in The CW’s ‘The Vampire Diaries’ in 2013, portraying the witch Sophie. This pivotal role served as a backdoor pilot for the spin-off series, ‘The Originals,’ where she continued as a main cast member for the first season in 2013.
