Broadway standout Ricky Rojas is all about the charm offensive. Storming onto the stage as the vibrant Santiago in the Baz Lurhmann Broadway smash hit “Moulin Rouge! The Musical,” it was a role Rojas was born to play. Bringing the fire and passion, Rojas leaves audiences in awe. Far from his native routes of Chile and Australia, Rojas fell in love with performing at a young age. Catching the acting bug early on, Rojas has been unstoppable ever since.
Landing the role of Joe ‘Jose’ Vegas in the original London West End production of “Fame,” was a breakthrough moment for Rojas. Little did he know that he would one day grace some of the world’s grandest stages. From the UK to the USA, Rojas’ first big Broadway turn came in the masterpiece “Burn the Floor.” The show brought together a tantalising tale of Latin Dance meets Ballroom. Rojas thrived in the role. It is no wonder that he would one day step onto the legacy production of the “Strictly Ballroom” creator’s most iconic creation to date.
Beyond the stage, Rojas is a family man. With his wife and son, Rojas is building a life in the Loire Valley, France. Brought together through their love of theatre, Rojas met his wife behind the scenes when she was a dresser in his first professional show. With his undeniable flair for showmanship, Rojas will be illuminating the stage for years to come.
