Danielle Moinet, known as former WWE Diva Summer Rae, has transitioned from professional wrestling and football to acting and philanthropic endeavors.
Danielle Moinet is best known for her tenure in WWE from 2011 to 2017, under the ring name Summer Rae. She was also a main cast member on the reality show Total Divas.
Before she became Summer Rae, Danielle was a Lead Brand Ambassador/Spokeswoman for Bobby Labonte's NASCAR race team. She traveled to each market and was featured on both local and national news & radio.
Danielle joined the LFL Chicago Bliss where she played as a cornerback and was also the official spokesperson for the team doing all of the media both locally and nationally.

Danielle Louise Moinet was born on November 28, 1983, in Manhasset, New York. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing from East Carolina University, where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Early in her career, Moinet served as a Lead Brand Ambassador/Spokeswoman for Bobby Labonte’s NASCAR race team, engaging with media locally and nationally. Following this, she became a football player for the Legends Football League’s (LFL) Chicago Bliss, playing cornerback and acting as the team’s official spokesperson, handling media relations. On June 30, 2011, she participated in the LFL All-Star Game, marking her final appearance in the league.
Moinet signed with WWE in November 2011, joining their developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). She debuted on FCW TV on December 18, 2011, in a promo and later served as a ring announcer. In March 2012, she became the FCW General Manager and made her in-ring debut on April 6, 2012. After FCW’s dissolution, she became a ring announcer for NXT in 2012, later transitioning to an in-ring competitor in January 2013 under the ring name Summer Rae. She played a significant role in developing the NXT Women’s division, including her participation in the inaugural NXT Women’s Championship tournament in June 2013 and feuds with Emma and Paige. Her alliance with Sasha Banks and Charlotte formed the group ‘Beautiful Fierce Females’.
Her main roster debut occurred on WWE Raw on April 22, 2013, as Fandango’s dance partner and valet. She was the first WWE Diva to secure a lead role in a WWE Studios film, “The Marine 4: Moving Target” (2015), where she performed her own stunt work. Rae appeared in multiple WWE video games, including WWE 2K14, 2K15, and 2K16 as a downloadable character. She was also a main cast member on the reality television series “Total Divas” for its second and third seasons. After her WWE departure in October 2017, she made sporadic appearances on the independent circuit and returned to WWE for special events, including the 2022 Royal Rumble. Moinet also actively supports the DTM Foundation, a non-profit organization providing services to families with medically fragile children.
