Danny Sprinkle is a collegiate men’s basketball coach recognized for his program leadership and team development across various institutions. After leading Utah State to a 28-7 record and the Mountain West regular-season title in his inaugural season (2023-24), Danny Sprinkle established himself as a dynamic collegiate men’s basketball coach with a proven ability to secure immediate program success. For this performance, Sprinkle was honored with the 2023-24 Steve Fisher Mountain West Coach of the Year award, named a finalist for the Jim Phelan National Coach of the Year Award, and a semifinalist for the Werner Ladder Naismith Men’s Coach of the Year. On March 25, 2024, Sprinkle was appointed head coach for the University of Washington men’s basketball team, completing his first season with a 13-18 record in the Big Ten conference.
As a collegiate player, Sprinkle earned Big Sky Freshman of the Year honors in 1996 and was selected all-league for three consecutive seasons, including a first-team selection in 1997. He concluded his playing career as the ninth-leading scorer in Montana State history with 1,497 points and was later inducted into the Montana State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2021 for his achievements.
