Daphne Zuniga is an American actress who has been in the business for over 40 years, with appearances in Melrose Place, One Tree Hill and Spaceballs.
Zuniga started acting when she was still a teenager, making her film debut when she was just 19 years old in The Dorm That Dripped Blood. Over the next few years she established herself with roles in several comedies such as The Sure Thing and Modern Girls, as well as television film Stone Pillow. The young actress’s big break came in 1992 when she was cast in the soap opera Melrose Place, remaining with the show as a recurring character until 1996, and gaining fans across America thanks to the show’s great viewing figures. This also led to several other high profile television shows, as casting directors realised her potential and gave her parts in Beautiful People and American Dreams. Zuniga starred in more than 40 episodes of the hit drama One Tree Hill, and has also worked behind the camera as a producer and director of documentary The Future We Will Create: Inside the World of TED.
As well as acting, Zuniga has become well known for her environmental campaigning, being appointed to the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles River Revitalisation Corporation and founding the Earth Communications Office. She recently appeared in an episode of NCIS and film Christmas In Paris, and continues to be a sought after actress.
